Motorola is back with another budget smartphone, the Moto E7 Power which has been launched in India first. Starting at a price of Rs. 7499, this is cheaper than the E7 Plus that was launched last year, comes with the same 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision LCD screen and a 5000mAh battery, but this is powered by Helio G25 SoC and 13MP + 2MP dual rear cameras.

Box Contents

  • Moto E7 Power 4GB + 64GB in Tahiti Blue colour
  • Clear protective case
  • SIM ejector
  • USB Type-C cable
  • 10W Charging adapter
  • SIM ejector tool
  • Warranty card

The front side is occupied by a 6.5-inch HD+ MaxVision LCD screen that is bright. The phone is powered by Helio G25 SoC with support for up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB storage. It uses eMCP storage solution which is an embedded multi-chip package that combines eMMC and low-power DRAM.

There is a 5MP front camera inside the water-drop style notch. The phone also has the usual set of proximity and ambient light sensors and also has a notification LED on the top edge. However, it doesn’t have gyroscope. It runs stock Android 10, but it should get Android 11 in the future.

The right side has a dedicated Google Assistant key, Volume rockers, and a power/lock button, while the left has just the Hybrid SIM slot. Under the device, we have a primary microphone, USB Type-C port. On top, we have 3.5mm audio jack.

Instead of dedicated SIM slots, this comes with a Hybrid SIM slot that accepts two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM and a microSD card that accepts cards up to 1TB.

The camera module houses two cameras — 13MP main and a 2MP macro camera. Right below, we have the Motorola icon that doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. Check out some camera samples below.

The Moto E7 Power has an unibody plastic construction, so it is better to use the bundled case since it is prone to scratches. The phone also has IP52 ratings for dust and water resistance that you rarely find in a phone in the price range. It has a loudspeaker grill on the back compared to the bottom-ported speaker in most phones. The build quality of the phone is decent for the price, and the company says that it is a 100% made in India device.

It supports connectivity options including Dual 4G VoLTE with 2×2 MIMO for better connectivity, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g /n (2.4GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging, and you also get a USB Type-C port that you rarely find in the price range.

The Moto E7 Power starts at Rs. 7499 for the 2GB RAM with 32GB storage version and the 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version costs Rs. 8,299. It will be available from Flipkart starting from February 26th at 12 noon.
