Jared Leto and brother announce new album

Jared Leto is just getting started at the Met Gala as Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette, and he has big things to announce right away. His band Thirty Seconds to Mars is due to release a new album this fall. There is already a first single celebrating fashion.

Since the late 1990s, Hollywood star Jared Leto has also been the frontman of the alternative rock band Thirty Seconds To Mars, which he founded with his brother Shannon. The last of their five albums was released in 2018, so Leto might have had too much else to do to devote himself to music. But now the band, which appears as a duo and is supplemented by changing musicians, announces a new long play.

The sixth album with the meaningful title “It’s The End Of The World But It’s A Beautiful Day” is due to be released in September and relies on eleven concise songs that deliberately never make it over 3.5 minutes playing time. There is now a first foretaste with the single “Stuck”, for which the Letos deliver an artificial black and white video.

Music meets fashion

Now stop the band from Jared Leto RTL+ music.

“Thanks to my incredibly creative mother, my brother and I were instilled with a love of art and photography from an early age,” quoted Jared Leto as saying. “The video for ‘Stuck’, our first new song in five years, is a love letter to some of my favorite photographers. Artists like Richard Avedon, Irving Penn, Robert Mapplethorpe, Diane Arbus, Herb Ritts and more who all left a lasting impression on me have impressed artists whose work has fundamentally changed my view of things and who should always show me new possibilities.”

The clip is about “celebrating art, design, fashion and the inspiring people behind them who bring their visions to life.” The fashion focus is on the looks of the current collections and groundbreaking design icons such as Gucci, Ann Demeulemeester, Balmain, Maison Margiela, Raf Simons, Rick Owens, Jean Paul Gaultier & Co.

Thirty Seconds To Mars will soon perform on the main stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, before returning to Chicago for the Lollapalooza Festival in August for the first time since 2006. Following the release of the album, a performance at the sold-out When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas is also on the agenda. More live dates are to follow.
