Last month, Samsung rolled out Android 11-based OneUI 3.1 to the Galaxy Tab S7 series, bringing more productive features like AutoSwitch, Wireless keyboard sharing, and more.

However, this doesn’t end here, as the South Korean tech giant is planning to roll out another firmware update for the Galaxy Tab S7 series.

According to Samsung, this update will bring a bunch of new features for S-Pen. Users can write in the text boxes with the S-Pen to convert their handwriting into text on the screen. However, users need to simply draw a ‘v’ between words to leave a space and draw ‘⌒’ to connect separate words.

The same S-Pen to text option will be added to Samsung Notes as well. and it will be available in over 80 languages at launch. Users can enable the ‘Pen to text’ feature either by going to Settings > Advanced Feature > S Pen > S Pen to text, or to Settings > General management > Samsung Keyboard settings > S Pen to text.

Furthermore, the update brings the option to write down notes on the scanned document using S-Pen. It’s worth mentioning that the Tab S7 series gives users the option to scan a document using the camera.

With OneUI 3.1, the Galaxy Tab S7 series will get a 360 Audio feature that lets the user enjoy 360-degree surround sound when watching a video. The intelligent motion-tracking sensor will pinpoint the direction of your media’s sound as you enjoy content on your Tab S7 or S7+.

Samsung is planning to roll out the firmware by the end of February to selected markets.
