Lithuania closes investigations against Lindemann

In Lithuania, the investigations against front singer Till Lindemann have been discontinued. The public prosecutor’s office in Vilnius announced that the 60-year-old could not be proven to have committed a crime. In Germany, on the other hand, the allegations against the Rammstein singer are being investigated further.

The public prosecutor’s office in Vilnius will not initiate investigations against Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann. This is reported by the “Bild” newspaper. The data had shown that no crimes had been committed. Vilnius had already shelved the case after a five-hour interrogation of Northern Ireland’s Shelby Lynn.

However, the 24-year-old had lodged a complaint, according to her own statement. The case was then reopened. “We will come to a final decision in the coming days as to whether and how the investigation will continue,” the Vilnius prosecutor said recently in an interview with the “Bild-Zeitung”. It is now clear: No new incriminating evidence was found against the band or their frontman.

In Germany, however, there is no corresponding all-clear for Lindemann and the band. According to the “Tagesspiegel”, several reports were received against the singer. The Berlin public prosecutor’s office then initiated investigations on June 7, as a spokeswoman for the “Tagesspiegel” confirmed. It is unclear who reported the complaints and for what reason.

The background to the investigations in Lithuania was Lynn’s statement that she had been “drugged” at the after-show party after the Rammstein concert in Vilnius. On social networks, she shared pictures where she was covered in bruises. However, she did not know where the hematomas came from, she explained. She also denied that Lindemann had touched her.
