CAmila Alves McConaughey (41), wife of Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey (53) described the couple’s experiences on a Lufthansa flight with severe turbulence. She posted a short video of the “chaos” on board the machine on Instagram on Thursday (local time). Everything flew through the air, she wrote, the pictures show napkins and leftovers scattered on the floor of the plane. She was told the plane had dropped almost 4,000 feet (more than 1,200 meters), wrote the Hollywood star’s partner, who was on the plane.
The ex-model was on a Lufthansa flight from Austin (US state of Texas) to Frankfurt on Wednesday evening, but due to the significant turbulence, flight LH469 made an unscheduled landing in Washington. A company spokeswoman said seven passengers on the plane were slightly injured.
After landing in Washington and checking into a hotel, she and her husband just made it to the hotel bar, Camila Alves McConaughey told her followers. On Instagram-Story she posted another video in which she speaks into the camera with a worried expression. She is now on the onward journey and the pilot again warned of turbulence.
Texas-born Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey (“Dallas Buyers Club”) and the Brazilian native have been married since 2012. The couple have three children.
