In the final of the 67th Eurovision Song Contest, the favorite singer Loreen from Sweden prevailed against her competitors. The German band Lord of the Lost could not convince the audience.

Dhe singer Loreen has won the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden for the second time in eleven years. The 39-year-old got the most points, as announced on the live show in Liverpool. With the rock band Lord Of The Lost, Germany once again came last on Sunday night out of 26 finalists.

In a body-hugging and cropped mud-colored outfit and extra-long glittering fingernails, the Swedish ESC winner from 2012 danced on a pedestal, above her a cuboid that illuminated her. “Loreen’s victorious fight against the huge sunbed,” joked German ESC commentator Peter Urban about Loreen’s performance.

Germany came last again in the European Song Contest (ESC). The Hamburg band Lord of the Lost received only three jury points and a poor audience result for their song “Blood & Glitter” on Sunday night at the final in Liverpool. Germany had already taken last place in 2022 in Turin.

Singer Chris Harms performed in a tight red latex suit, the suit showed a lot of leg on the right side and some tattoos. His appearance was reminiscent of a sinister red angel. After the more than three-minute performance, there was long and strong applause.

Harms had temporarily struggled with a ailing voice prior to the singing competition. “The voice is fine so far. Nevertheless, I naturally protect my voice and only use it when I really need it. Better to be safe than sorry,” he wrote to the German Press Agency on Friday.

Lord Of The Lost formed in 2009. The band’s fan base is considered vibrant. At the beginning of 2023, the album “Blood & Glitter” shot to the top of the German album charts – the name of the ESC song, with which the rock group is hoping for a good position, was just like this record. She had prevailed in the German preliminary round at the beginning of March and thus secured the ticket for Liverpool. The band is also known for their carefully planned performances – music and outfits form an overall concept.
