Back in CES 2019, LG revealed the world’s first roll-able OLED TV line — the SIGNATURE OLED R. The TV was supposed to go on sale last year however due to some issues that did not happen. LG is now launching the 65-inch SIGNATURE OLED R on sale in South Korea for a whopping price tag of KRW 100 million, which is approximately $87,000 or about 63.8 lakh rupees.

One of the most unique designs in the TV industry to date, the SIGNATURE OLED R TV appears from its base by rolling out gently and smoothly to its full size of 65-inches, thanks to the flexible nature of the OLED panel. The TV can be experienced in three viewing formats — Full View, Line View and Zero View.

The base has an artisan-level of craftmanship, and will be offered in 4 shades of covering — Signature Black, Moon Gray, Topaz Blue or Toffee Brown. Customers can further engrave a name or message on the aluminum base.

The TV will be available for purchase at seven premium consumer electronics stores in South Korea for a price of KRW 100 million (Approx. Rs. 63,83,938).

Commenting on the announcement, Park Hyoung-sei, president of LG Home Entertainment Company said:

The seamless marriage of technological and design innovation demonstrated in LG SIGNATURE OLED R is an unprecedented feat that genuinely deserves to be called a work of art. This is a true luxury product that reimagines what television can be, this unique TV delivers a differentiated user experience and a new way of thinking about space while once again confirming LG’s leadership in the premium TV market.
